MP shows sex video ‘documentary’ in bid to prove Anwar’s innocence


PKR’s Datuk Johari Abdul today maintained that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was not the man in the infamous “Datuk T” sex video, saying that there are “1,000 possibilities” as to the identity of the individual featured in the recording.

A magistrate’s court in Kuala Lumpur was told this morning that US authorities had identified the man in the controversial sex video screened by “Datuk T” as Anwar.

The point was raised in the facts of the case read out today after the “Datuk T” trio of Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik and Datuk Shuib Lazim pleaded guilty to their involvement in the screening of the video on March 21.

To rebut the statement in court today, Johari showed to reporters here today a self-made “documentary” on the sex video, where the PKR leader himself was the “host”.

“There are 1,000 possibilities to the actor in the video… what we know is that it cannot be Anwar because of many reasons,” said Johari in the video.




The video shows Johari speaking to the camera with his back facing a flat-screen television which played parts and sections of the alleged sex video.

Asked whether he knew he could be charged for screening parts of the sex video, Johari said “I take full responsibility.”

The “documentary” highlighted “evidence” in the video which showed that the man in it was not Anwar, with references to the person’s nose being different from that of the opposition leader, to Anwar’s physique being different, and to the man in the video wearing glasses.

“We all know that Anwar has a flat nose... also he no longer wears glasses after his laser operation,” Johari said.

The latest video also showed Johari at an undisclosed location, allegedly in Thailand, where a make-up artist is seen applying foundation on the PKR MP’s face to make him “look like” the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee.

“Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah told Allahyarham Tan Sri Megat Junid’s former bodyguard that he wanted to go to Thailand to do something to get back at Anwar.

“This sex video has origins from Thailand,” said Johari in the video while posing next to a picture of P. Ramlee.

“You can (even) look like your idol,” he said. The Sungai Petani MP stressed that he was solely responsible for the production of the “documentary”, and that even Anwar has not seen it.

According to Johari, it took him approximately 34 days to complete the video. He also said the “documentary” will be uploaded to video-sharing site YouTube shortly and that copies of it will be distributed in future ceramahs.

“Yes, the video will be distributed... please duplicate it. We owe an explanation to the public about the truth behind this,” he stated.
